Holiday

In the fertile imagination of Mary Shelley, the realization that man could beget man materialized, and Frankenstein was born.

Genetic engineering is now part of the 20th century. DNA and RNA in the wrong hands can produce disaster. In time man and science will understand their discoveries more and be better able to deal with them. If however they force their premature philosophy on mankind, characters which are represented in HOLIDAY are born.

Because of their impatience, the family of Professor Von Kliest can not wait for science. They want change. And they want it now! The story of HOLIDAY shows what can happen when a few in the scientific world push the boundaries of reality out of proportion. It is this surrealistic vision which colors the texture of HOLIDAY and dictates the style and structure of the novel.
